CUET Eligibility

  • Students appearing for the exam must be in India.
  • Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 12th level exam for UG.
  • Candidates applying for a PG course must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Obtaining a minimum of 55% (General category) or 50% (SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category) in their bachelor’s degree examination is vital.
  • A student must obtain 50% (General Category) or 45% (SC/ST Category) in class 12 from any recognised board.
  • There is no age limit for candidates to appear for the CUET entrance exam.
  • Test-takers must have a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% (General Category), 50% (OBC Category) and 45% (SC/ST/PWD Category) from any recognised university to opt for PhD programs.

CUET Application Form Process

Exam Pattern for CUET

Students can choose from the morning or evening slots to appear for the exam. It is to be noted that slot 1 is 195 minutes, whereas the duration of slot 2 is 225 minutes. The exam paper for admission to the UG program is divided into sections: Section IA, Section IB, Section II, and Section III. Section IA and IB contain 13 and 19 languages, of which candidates must select any language from each section. Section II will contain 27 domain-specific subjects, and candidates will have to choose any six subjects depending upon the requirement of the UG course.

CUET Entrance Exam Results

Candidates can check their CUET results from the official website and easily download their scorecards. Notably, they will not receive any hard copy of the results. The results will be published online, and the students can download and save them. 

To check the result, students need to submit the application number and view the results. CUET results contain important details related to the roll number, rank, gender of the student, subject code, name, category, subject, and marks obtained in the exam. 

Scores calculated by National Testing Agency

National Testing Agency determines the CUET scores by calculating the percentile score based on the performance of the candidates in different sessions. The percentile score indicates the number of students who obtained equal or lower scores than the highest scorer in a session. The CUET score is calculated using the formula: (Number of candidates who scored less than the topper / Total number of candidates appeared) x 100.

CUET Cut-Off

After the results are announced, the National Testing Agency (NTA) publishes a separate cut-off list for each university that accepts college admissions via CUET. Students should analyse the marking systems and previous cut-offs to set their target scores. Several factors affect the CUET cut-off is:
