The Consortium of NLUs administers the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national-level law entrance test for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and 1-year LLM (PG) programs. The test is held for admission to 24 NLUs for undergraduate programs and 21 NLUs for graduate programs. Candidates must attempt questions on English, current events and general knowledge (GK), legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative mathematics for UG courses, as well as questions on constitutional law and other legal topics in the offline, pen-and-paper format of the exam.
