The Joint Entrance Examination-Main, formerly known as the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, is a computer-based test that is used in India to assess applicants for admission to a variety of technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning.

All applicants must have obtained at least 75% (65% for SC/ST candidates) in board exams to qualify for admission to IIITs or NITs
While there is no age limit for JEE Main, only the candidates who have passed Class 12th in 2022, 2023 or are appearing in 2024 are eligible
Candidates must have passed the senior secondary (10+2) test with the top 5 grades in 5 courses, including math, physics and chemistry
B.E./B.Tech candidates need least 5 passing grades in their senior secondary exams with the relevant subjects
B.Arch candidates must have completed their senior secondary schooling with the relevant subjects
B.Plan candidates should have completed their 12th-level exams with Mathematics
