This does not mean sociological work is either narrow or lacking in practical significance. Sociology involves the observation and explanation of human behavior in a wide range of areas. In addition to this, sociology studies the socio-psychological, legal, professional and organizational structures. Study of rural, urban, industry, politics, gender, crime, etc. are some of the important fields of sociology.
