This specialism pertains to design of a particular object of personal adornment i.e. jewellery. Students will receive training in the wide array of areas essential to jewellery design today. India has been renowned for jewellery-based craft traditions and techniques, manufacturing as well as exports, however, today, e-commerce is shifting the way Indian’s perceive value of jewellery. Therefore, under this specialism, students will explore many varieties, aesthetics, forms and techniques of jewellery making from traditional to contemporary, from precious to non-precious from luxury to craft and perhaps innovate new forms of jewellery.
